Beka Shea has a fascinating story. Before she became an entrepreneur with a large team flipping and wholesaling deals, Beka was in the Navy as a mechanical engineer. She had a great job but felt the travel was a lot with small kids. When her 3rd daughter was born in 2013, she decided to spend less time traveling and more time at home. She bought her first rehab, which was a hoarder house that we essentially gutted, and she was hooked!
Making ugly things pretty is her passion. The first year she flipped 3 houses, the
second year she flipped 6, and then she moved up to one a month and started building out a team to support her business growth. Beka and her team are on track to do over 70 deals this year which include both flips and wholesales.
On today’s episode, we discuss a ton with Beka, including:
- How to get over the fear of your first flip
- How to structure your first deal with a new partner
- #1 tip to scale your business
- The advantages (and challenges) of starting your own construction team
- How to keep a team on schedule
- Her favorite apps to achieve a work-life balance.
