Can you really start a property management company in a recession and grow the company to managing 25,000 doors in only 8 years? Well, Cindy Batey and Angie Smith, two rockstar entrepreneurs, did this together. And with no advertising, just referrals and word of mouth.
In 2010, after working for many years for other property management companies as executives, Cindy and Angie decided to join forces and start their own property management company in Georgia, called Strategic Management Partners. At this time, they had no buildings, no units and no clients. Fast forward eight years, and they have been able to build their business to 25,000 doors in 7 states with over 100 employees. They have done this by building a company that they can be proud of and stand behind. Their niche is focusing on managing distressed and value add type of apartment buildings for owners.
